Giving every student a device means they have access to the classroom wherever they are. Education and learning can happen outside the four walls of the classroom. This is an amazing achievement.
The downside is that education can happen everywhere. Districts fall into the trap of assuming students have full access to everything outside of the classroom. Or that time outside the classroom should be used for education.
Work/life balance is a constant topic in the corporate world. School/life balance needs to be talked about in education.

Not all students have internet at home.
Not all parents want devices on at home.
Not all students have an environment at home for education.
Not all students are going to a home after school.
