Microsoft is offering Office Ultimate 2007 to students for a fraction of its normal price, $59.95 (compared to a normal retail price of $679.95). The software can be found here. All you need to do is provide your .edu email to prove you are an enrolled student. This deal ends in April 2008.

This is a great deal for any student, and shows how Microsoft is responding to the growing open source movement among younger generations. Microsoft doesn't want to lose the younger generations and by offering their software as much more affordable prices to college students they are far more likely to sell the product and create future Microsoft users.
